AWe will venture getting to know the communities around Cusco, as well as their culture, walking through the mountains.  We will appreciate the mountains, rivers and thermal baths. Finally, we finish our trip staying in local homes which were especially prepared for our visit and eating local produce..

TREKKING VIA THE RIO MAPACHO COMMUNITIES

Over 5 days we will travel through 3 communities along the Rio Mapacho: Parobamba, Bombon and Chimor.  In each of them we will recognize distinct landscapes within one valley, as well as people dedicated to practicing agriculture, others weaving traditional textiles with natural fibers and dyes.  We will walk for about 5 or 7 hours each day to travel between communities.  Each town will be waiting for us with dinner, prepared by the local women, and we will sleep in family homes.  We will sustain ourselves throughout the trek with a box lunch.  We will walk down to the river in order to recognize native flora and fauna, like medicinal and dyeing plants, traditional crops and wild animals that conserve their traditional habitats.
